TigerStop LLC and NORDIS Team Up For Canadian Distribution

Vancouver, WA/Lévis, QC, December 13, 2010 – TigerStop LLC, the leader in linear positioning systems and long time partner Group Normand, a leading machinery dealer in Eastern Canada, jointly announce a strategic partnership to distribute SawGear through Nordis, Group Normand’s new distribution division.  SawGear  is a portable, precise, rugged automated length measuring system for miter saws. It is a proven productivity tool offering contractors and carpenters the ability to complete jobs up to 30 percent faster, allowing them to reduce costs and bid jobs more aggressively.

“SawGear has a proven track record as a valuable productitvity tool and we are excited and proud to offer it to Canadian power tool retailers and dealers,” said David Campagna, NORDIS Business development Manager.  “We have a very strong market for this type of tool, and wouldn’t be surprised if tool retailers and dealers knock on our doors to get the SawGear before we offer it to them.  SawGear is innovative and tool retailers and dealers can offer their customers the value of enhanced productivity for a minimal investment.”

SawGear has gained overwhelming market acceptance receiving multiple awards, national broadcast coverage and positive editorial reviews.  It was awarded the most innovative tool by Journal of Light Construction for 2010,  and the attendees of the 2010 Remodelers Show selected SawGear as the best product in its category for the Tool Test Zone.  In addition, veteran carpenter, Tom Silva, of This Old House, a nationally sydicated television program on PBS, selected SawGear for the October 28th 2010 program. Tom Silva also personally purchased multiple SawGears for his construction company, Silva Brothers Construction.

SawGear has gained popularity for its ruggedness and versatility both at the job site and in the shop. Users simply attach the SawGear to a miter saw, enter the required dimensions, slap the material against the rugged stop and cut the part. Every cut made is fast and the accuracy is dead-on.

“We’re very pleased with the success of SawGear in spite of difficult economic times for the building industry,” said Matt Harris, CMO, TigerStop LLC.  “We believe finding the right partners that truly understand the value of this productivity tool has been the key to our success.  And with stronger market conditions in Canada, we are excited to find a reputable Canadian partner to help make it a success there, too.”

NORDIS will begin to promote and support SawGear to Eastern Canadian retailers and dealers immediately. For more information contact David Campagna at david.campagna@nordis.ca.
